Hot printing

Hot printing is a very versatile technique which is used by Officina 3 for the personalisation of couture accessories and for leatherwear.

Thanks to the hot engraving and the related personalised mould, the items get a three-dimensional variation. Patches and labels will have a new guise which enhance the graphic aspects though thickness and color variations that this technique permits.

The engraved surface, indeed, will rotate to a darker and refined color as to underline the low-relief obtained. It is possible to combine some printed inks to create shiny and matt effects.

The hotprinting is particularly indicated for leather treatments. Leather and hide back pockets, labels, patches, shoe uppers, frontals and details for bags, are only some of possible realisations which can be made through the embossed print on leather.

In the end, this technique can be used for engraving ribbons in continuous and it can be combined to the application of distinguishing elements of the brand, as metallic small parts and other types of materials.

The results obtained on different thicknesses are always surprising.

Examples of application:

  • Hot printing on leather
  • Foil hotprinting on leather
  • Hot engraving on leather and fabric
  • Contrasting hot printing
